Local Expertise Since 2012 — Your Bondi Junction Removalists

Bondi Junction packs a lot of people into not much space. About 10,400 people live in the suburb, and roughly two in three homes are apartments. Most of the rest are semis and terraces. Detached houses make up about 5%. That mix shapes every move here: lift bookings, loading docks, tight terrace hallways and very little kerb space.

Our Sydney removalists have been working the Eastern Suburbs since 2012. We know the towers around Grafton Street, Spring Street and Ebley Street usually want a dock booking and a lift booking, and that these are often two different people. We know the walk-ups off Bronte Road and Birrell Street don’t have lifts at all. And we know trucks don’t stop on Syd Einfeld Drive.

More than half of Bondi Junction households rent. That means a lot of end-of-month moves, short handover windows and leases that don’t line up. We plan apartment and terrace removals in Bondi Junction around those realities. If your dates don’t match, storage in Rosebery covers the gap.

Upfront hourly pricing, a written quote and one person to call. 42,000+ moves and a 4.8-star rating across 700+ Google reviews.

Why Us

Your furniture should arrive in the same condition it left. In Bondi Junction that comes down to the small stuff: padding the lift before the first box goes in, measuring a terrace hallway before the sofa does, and having a third mover on the day the dock booking is only two hours long.

We’ve completed more than 42,000 moves since 2012. We’d rather quote you properly than quote you low and run over.

We are Australia’s most complete relocation company. We handle as much, or as little, of your entire move as you’d like.

Before your move, we provide boxes and packing materials and can assist with packing your home.

On moving day, we transport your possessions with the care they deserve and the professionalism you expect.

Afterwards, we help with unpacking, or safely store your belongings  in our Rosebery warehouse until your new place is ready.

5 Essential Tips for Moving in Bondi Junction

From someone who moves Bondi Junction every week.

1

Book the loading dock and the lift, and check they’re the same booking

In a lot of the newer towers, the dock is run by building management and the lift by strata, or the dock is shared with retail tenants downstairs. Ask for both in writing, with times. A lift with no dock slot means carrying everything from the street.

2

Start early, or move on a Sunday

Syd Einfeld Drive, Oxford Street and the bus interchange slow everything down in weekday peak. A 7am start gets the truck loaded before traffic builds. Sunday moves are usually the quickest of the week.

3

Small apartment? Pack before we arrive

About one in four Bondi Junction homes has one bedroom or fewer. A fully packed one-bedroom often takes two movers around two to three hours. Half-packed, it can take twice that. Box everything except the furniture and we’ll be in and out faster.

4

Measure terrace hallways and stair turns

Roughly a quarter of homes here are semis, terraces or townhouses, many with narrow halls and tight stair landings. Measure your sofa and the narrowest point on the way out. If it’s close, tell us at quote time. We can take doors off hinges or bring the right equipment for a hoist.

5

Plan for the end-of-month crunch

With 54% of households renting, the last weekend of the month books out first. If your lease end is fixed, lock in your date early. If the new place isn’t ready, we can move you into storage on the day and deliver later.

Bondi Junction Removalists — Frequently Asked Questions

How much do removalists in Bondi Junction cost?
$220/hr for 2 movers and a truck or $300/hr for 3, GST included, plus a call-out fee shown on your quote. Billing is in 15-minute blocks after the first hour. Typical Bondi Junction jobs:

Property Crew Typical time Typical cost
Studio or 1-bed apartment, lift access 2 movers 2–3 hrs $440–$660
2-bed apartment, lift and dock 2 movers 3–4.5 hrs $660–$990
2-bed walk-up or terrace 2 movers 3.5–5 hrs $770–$1,100
3-bed apartment or terrace 3 movers 4–6 hrs $1,200–$1,800
4-bed house 3 movers 6–8 hrs $1,800–$2,400

Times assume most things are packed before we arrive and the move stays in the Eastern Suburbs.

Can the truck park outside my building?
Usually, but not always right outside. Waverley’s resident parking permits are for residents and their visitors, not removal trucks. We check your street at quote time. If there’s a loading bay or building dock, we’ll use it. If kerb space is the problem, we’ll tell you whether it’s worth asking council about a temporary works zone.
My building needs a lift and dock booking — can you sort that out?
Send us your building manager’s details and we’ll confirm times with them directly. We pad the lift before loading and keep lobby time to a minimum, so your strata is less likely to hold your bond.
How long does a typical Bondi Junction apartment move take?
Most one- and two-bedroom apartment moves are done in two to four and a half hours. The biggest variables are how far the truck is from the lift, whether the lift is dedicated to you, and how much is packed.
Do you store furniture if my lease dates don’t line up?
Yes. We can move you straight into our Rosebery storage on moving day, then deliver to your new place when it’s ready. Storage starts at $220 per module per month.
When do Bondi Junction move dates book out?
The last weekend of the month and Saturdays go first, usually two to four weeks ahead. Mid-week, mid-month dates are the easiest to get and often the quickest moves.
Do you handle office and retail moves near Westfield and Oxford Street?
Yes. We do office moves across Sydney and can work after hours or on weekends so trading isn’t disrupted. See our office removalists page or call 1300 358 700.

  • 🏢

    Apartment-first suburb

Almost two in three homes are apartments, and 61% of all homes have two bedrooms or fewer. Most moves here are measured in floors and lift minutes, not in rooms.

  • 🚆

    Train, bus and Westfield traffic

The T4 line terminates here, the bus interchange sits above it, and Westfield draws shoppers all week. We schedule trucks around peak hours, not through them.

  • 🔑

    A renter’s market

54% of households rent, at a median $660 a week. That means end-of-month turnover and handover windows that leave little room for delays.

  • 🚛

    Low car ownership

At under one car per household, a lot of residents can’t do a “quick trip” themselves. We take small jobs too: a couch, one bedroom, a single item across the Eastern Suburbs.
